The Ravishing Garden

I walked past the Worry Tree, the home of my sorrows tied with red and orange strings of memories,

I strolled down the ochre path, gleaming in the afternoon sun,

I placed the palm of my hand on the sleek, shimmering black gate,

I arrived at the garden wall, guarding what nestles beyond

I cruised in and came to the The Ravishing Garden, my happy place,

As I entered, the radiant daffodils greeted me with delight and giggles!

The blood-red roses danced around me with passion,

The violets, chrysanthemums and daisies cheered with smiling faces filled with joy,

At that moment, I felt like time itself had frozen, and every little thing was going to be alright,

I felt warm inside because my star had entered me and was filling me with light,

An electric current zapped through my arms and legs and hands and fingers,

From the top of my head, to the tip of my toes

I feel like the sun was laughing inside me and my heart was content!

Inspiration: My inspiration was that I had a class that really opened up my eyes and made me visualize a place that I could go to if I had a bad day at school and so I did visualize it in my head and I wrote a poem about it!
